ASD and College

In spite of what might be the common misconception about a link between ASD  and intellectual ability, a study by the CDC in 2014 revealed that about half of all people diagnosed with ASD scored as average to above average in their intellectual ability. This of course means that half of all those with ASD would be capable of earning advanced degrees in higher learning institutions.

Here at K&L C.A.R.E., Inc we ensure that we provide all the necessary support to enable our clients to achieve their educational goals.

TUTORING and Study assistance

One of the most important college skills for anyone to learn is how to study properly and how to take notes. Our case supervisors all hold bachelor degrees and have successfully navigated the trials and tribulations of college. They know what techniques work and which techniques do not, and can apply this knowledge when designing a service plan for each individual client.

The purpose of this assistance is not to do homework or classwork for the client, but to help them obtain the skills needed for them to be independently successful in college and the workplace which comes after the obtainment of a degree.

Stress assistance and educational planning

College can be hard. It's not just the classes and interacting with professors and peers, it's the sheer number of choices in front of you, the lack of clear paths, and the constant decisions you have to make that can take the difficult and turn it into the impossible.

Here at K&L C.A.R.E., Inc we know how stressful higher education can be and our staff is specially trained with proven results.

We are here to make the path forward as clear as we can so that our clients can walk down it with as few sumbles as possible.
